Up And At It
The ice left the north end of Lac Kipawa last week, and while there are still remnants of ice tucked into some bays, we are safe to declare that the lake is open—despite the fact that it is snowing here as I write this.
Eddy and I spent the week cleaning up, opening and getting reading for another season. No black flies yet! Julie is in Ecuador for two weeks working on a community development project in the Amazon, so may not be here for our season opener, next weekend.
New this year: 2 brand new 16 foot Abitibi boats. We will be sure to set up at least one with pedestal seats, electric motor and fish finder. We also hope to have a nice addition to our outdoor kitchen this year. Stay tuned for more information next week, once we get the bugs worked out.
As mentioned in my last posting, we have new fishing regulations in effect on Lac Kipawa. Be sure to educate yourself on the new size limits. We will have information available in the cabins and posted on the website, but ultimately it is every angler’s responsibility to know and abide by the rules.
Looking forward to another great year here at Two Moon Lodge. Se you soon!
