Trout Days, Walleye nights

_MG_5328_MG_5335_MG_5325The lakers have come to play. It was a great day trout fishing for the boys here today. Lots of fish caught, most released unharmed. Of the 5 boats fishing Lake trout today, over 20 fish were boated.

Then there is this lunker caught by Mike and assisted by his cousin Steve. Measured in at 35″ and the totally inaccurate scale read 14 lbs. Large Silver Williams Whitefish trolled down 40 ft. Ron also landed a 29″ beauty that on any other day would certainly get the fish of the day title.

But we are still looking for the honker walleye (28″ or larger) to top out a fine week of fishing. So its time to head out for some walleye action!
