Thanks for Ten Great Years
I know it’s time to wrap things up here when I see the sunset directly behind one-tree island. Often by the mid-October shut down I am driving the boat back in a snow squall. Not this year, as it remains an unseasonably warm and dry fall. It’s the summer we never had.
The walleye continued to bite well throughout the fall, although the frenzy would be short-lived and dependent on the excellent weather. The mild fall made the moose hunt a bit more of a challenge, but our crew was successful nonetheless. And now, we’re shutting her down.
For ten years now we have measured the seasons by where the sun sets, the number of full moons and the sound of migrating birds. Hard to believe that we have been at Two Moon Lodge for ten years now. We have met some wonderful people and have watched a lot of people have a great time. We thank you, our guests, for making it such a wonderful experience.
We have also watched our clientele grow. Things have changed from those early years when we were struggling to win back customers and attracting new guests. But great service and an awesome location pay off, as now we have pre-bookings for most of our weeks next years, and many of the prime fishing weeks are already full. If you haven’t talked to us about penciling you and your group in, you should talk to us soon!
Julie and I look forward to hosting guests at Two Moon Point for another ten years and have some exciting improvements planned. Stay tuned over the winter for updates.
To everyone—past clients, web readers, and dreamers—thank you for the incredible support you have shown us for the past ten seasons. We look forward to speaking to you soon about planning your next adventure.
Have a great winter,
Dave and Julie (and the hibernating Kip)
