COVID Update, July 3

July 3, 2020 by dmorin No Comment

Dear Friends,

Here at Two Moon Lodge the water is a beautiful swimming temperature, the mosquitoes are fewer than usual and the fish are still in the lake. It is quiet and peaceful. The US border closure has had a noticeable effect and, given the recent announcement that requires cross-border travellers to quarantine for 14 days until August 31st, it looks like the lake will stay quiet at least until September. It will be unusual to pass the summer without many of the people who help make Two Moon so special for us. The connections we have made, year after year, are a big part of why we do what we do here. Seeing how much joy this place can bring others is what keeps us going. So, this year has been difficult in that respect. If you have not been able to get here, know that you are missed!

Cosy cabins, updated with new steel roofs, screen doors and fresh paint.

For Canadians however, this presents a unique opportunity. There has never been a better time to enjoy a close-to-home retreat vacation at a remote, boat-accessed cabin to leave behind your cares. We know that those who have already come up this year appreciated the isolation and relaxation that the lodge offers. If you haven’t been up yet, then know that you and your family will love the magic of this special place. With summer camps closed and many private cottage rentals unavailable, Two Moon Lodge still has openings in July and near the end of Aug through September with private cabins; each with its own dock, boats, sand beach and COVID- compliant health measures. Let your friends know about this unique opportunity and help support local tourism.

Hopefully, we will all be able to gather around the pizza table and share our fish tales again before long!

Until then, take care and keep safe,

Dave and Julie
